Business Juice Introduces Assessment Service and ESOS Advice Website

Enterprising Gas and Electricity Company, Business Juice, has launched a new service for those businesses required to carry out assessments for the Government’s new ESOS scheme (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme).

Business Juice’s new Business Surveyor service enables qualifying companies to arrange their ESOS surveys quickly and easily in order to comply with the new legislation, for which there is a compliance deadline of 5th December 2015.

Business Juice are supporting the launch of this service with a dedicated new website,, which will enable companies to arrange ESOS audits and surveys across the UK for single or multiple sites. Business Juice’s Business Surveyor team can arrange surveys nationwide, thanks to their network of professional, qualified surveyors.

The Business Surveyor website will also include essential information about the scheme, as many companies remain unclear as to the requirements. Key issues covered will include an explanation of what sorts of companies are obliged to participate in the scheme and what their commitments are, as well as what to expect in a site visit and what their obligations are with regard to any findings from the assessment.

Business Juice CEO James Constant explains:

“Our new Business Surveyor service is a natural extension to our core service of gas and electricity brokering for companies. Indeed, it was through speaking to our current clients that we originally became aware of the confusion that many companies had regarding the ESOS scheme. Many hadn’t even realised that it would apply to them, while others were unsure how to go about arranging audits and assessments or confused about how to select a suitable surveyor.”

“Our new website first and foremost puts all the facts in the public domain in order to help companies to work out their commitments in advance of the impending deadline of 5th December.”

“Then our ESOS assessment service enables them to arrange the necessary audits with our professional team. Our national presence means that even companies with multiple sites can arrange their ESOS audit quickly and simply with a single point of contact, making the whole process as efficient and professional as possible.”

The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme was established by the Environment Agency for large UK businesses as part of its commitment to the EU Energy Efficiency Directive. There is actually no obligation to carry out any work or improvements, regardless of the findings in the survey. However, Business Juice say that this should be seen as an opportunity for companies to reduce their costs.

Business Juice CEO James Constant explains:

“For qualifying companies, ESOS audits are not optional. However, the information in the survey could be very valuable in identifying areas for energy efficiency improvements.”

“Energy is one of the greatest costs a Company can face so any savings in both usage and cost should be assessed and considered carefully.”

“In 2014, our average client saved 17.5% on energy, which can make a big contribution to the bottom line and free up funds for energy efficiency improvements. At Business Juice, we work with the whole market of energy suppliers so that we can tailor contract options to a business’s individual needs, enabling them to access cheaper rates with minimum hassle.”

Business Juice offers a free quotation service for businesses of all sizes and from all industries; from the smallest work-from-home start-ups and SMEs to major FTSE companies with multiple site energy usage. In 2014 Business Juice procured over 500GWH for clients delivering savings of £8,117,939 in doing so.

They offer a team of Energy Experts who review the whole market to deliver the most appropriate alternatives from over 30 UK energy suppliers based on the needs and requirements of the individual business.
